Peter the Great Saint-Petersburg Polytechnic University

SPbPU is situated in one of the most beautiful cities in the world! The second largest city in Russia, St. Petersburg is rightfully called the cultural capital of Russia. SPbPU is among leaders of higher education in Russia. For the recent years they take the TOP-3 position among Russian technical universities by number of international students. University’s position as a world-class University is confirmed by world rankings: 11th among the top 100 Russia’s universities , 37th in the world in THE University Impact Rankings, 5 stars in international QS ranking for online learning.

Polytechnic University has a very prominent place in the global academic community. The University is partner with many academic institutions and industrial companies. More than 320 partner universities from 70 countries, over 100 world’s leading companies have direct contracts with Polytechnic University.

National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering University”

MPEI is one of the main technical universities in Russia in the field of Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Radio Engineering and Electronics, Informatics and Computer Science, founded in 1930.The area of modern power engineering includes actually power engineering (hydropower, wind power, thermal, nuclear, solar and space power, etc.), electrical equipment, sciences about materials, electronics, classical and applied physics, radio engineering and communication, computer systems, management and economics in power engineering.

All these spheres and other directions of the special training are available in MPEI for foreign undergraduate and graduate students. MPEI has been training engineers and scientists for foreign countries since 1946. At present about 1700 foreign students from 68 countries are trained at MPEI. In the category “Engineering – Electrical Engineering and Electronics”, MPEI has ranked 8th among Russian universities, and in the world it has been in the 401―450 position among the best universities.


MIPT is one of the leading Russian universities in the areas of physics and technology. The university holds a reputable position in the country and abroad for qualified graduate training. Students and graduates of MIPT are representatives of an elite circle who, thanks to their interdisciplinary scientific surroundings, are able to fully realize their potential.

MIPT has a strong alumni community is spread all over and includes top range scientists, businessmen, politicians, people of art, many of who are awardees of prestigious international prizes. Phystech (the university) and phystechs (its alumni) are strongly proud and supportive of each other.

Digital Preparatory Faculty

The Digital Pre-University Faculty is an international model of educating foreign students under the programs of pre-university faculties of Russian universities and is implemented entirely using modern distance technologies. The project provides training in the Russian language and general education disciplines for international students for their later enrolment to higher education institutions without leaving their country of permanent residence. The educational process is conducted entirely through a digital platform.

The student only needs a laptop or tablet with a microphone and Internet access to study. During the studies, students receive constant support from experienced professors and tutors of the RUDN University in the form of video consultations, as well as online and offline chat in Russian and in the intermediary language. Every week, students communicate with native speakers both in groups and individually for more than 12 hours. The partners of the Digital Pre-University Faculty help to implement the faculty programs in the CIS countries, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East.

Bauman Moscow State Technical University

BMSTU has 19 departments providing full-time education. University provides postgraduate and doctorate programs and has two affiliated secondary schools. More than 19,000 students study in BMSTU, and specialties cover all range of modern machine and instrument building. More than 320 doctors of science (Russian degree higher than PhD) and 2000 candidates of science (similar to PhD) teach and do research in BMSTU. Main parts of the University are eight scientific and educational divisions.

Each of them consists of scientific and educational branch. Several branch departments also exist, they deal with particular fields of industry. They are based on big factories and organizations, situated in Moscow, Moscow suburbs (Reutov, Krasnogorsk and Korolev) and in Kaluga. BMSTU has unique experience of teaching hearing-impaired students since 1934.

RUDN University

The University was founded on 5th February, 1960 by the USSR Government and soon was named after Patrice Lumumba — one of the symbols of the African peoples’ fight for independence and later on by the decision of the Government of Russia was renamed to Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. For its 60-year history, the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia has gained worldwide fame and won a well-deserved reputation as a classical university, which for many years occupies the highest places among the best Russian universities and is rapidly rising in international rankings.

RUDN University is one of the best world class universities in Russia ranked by Times Higher Education World University Rankings, QS World University Rankings and Round University Ranking. They are among the leaders in categories “International students” and “Student-to-staff ration” and the greenest university in Russia according to UI GreenMetric Ranking. RUDN is the first university in Russia to get 5 QS stars in 5 ranking categories. Around 200 000 students graduated from RUDN. Ural Federal University

Ural Federal University (UrFU) is a world-class university in the heart of Eurasia committed to the complex and sustainable development of research and teaching. Established in 1920 Ural Federal University is now home to 36 000 students from 101 countries of the world and more than 4 500 faculty members including 200 foreign professors and top-notch global experts. UrFU Institutes offer more than 460 Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degree programs in natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, humanities, economics and management taught in Russian and English. The number of UrFU alumni exceeds 380 000.

Ural Federal University constantly works on building its global reputation and is currently ranked amongst the world’s top universities: placed 331 in QS World University Rankings 2021. Ural Federal is a federal innovation platform of Russia and the project office of world-class Ural Interregional Research and Education Center “Advanced Industrial Technologies and Materials” conducting breakthrough research.

MISIS University

MISIS was established in 1918 and today in 2021 intends to strengthen its leadership positions in a number of areas, including material sciences, metallurgy and mining, as well as strongly strengthen its presence in bio materials, nano- and IT-technologies.. The university has shown significant growth in the QS World University Rankings and in the QS World University Rankings by Subject in three areas: “Materials Science”, “Physics”, “Mechanical Engineering”. NUST MISIS has also entered the ARWU-2018 Ranking and the TOP-100 of the ARWU Global Ranking of Academic Subjects in two directions: Metallurgical Engineering and Mining & Mineral Engineering.

It has 30 research centers and laboratories as well as 3 engineering centers with modern research equipment. The University provides 9 English-medium Master’s programs in Physics, Material Science and Nanotechnologies. In 2020 Sberbank and MISIS signed a cooperation agreement and approved a roadmap until 2024. The agreement provides for the joint education of specialists on the bachelor’s and master’s programs, the opening of a service robotics laboratory based on the university infrastructure, and the conduct of joint scientific research.

National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering

National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering was established in 1921. It is one of the oldest technical institutes of higher education of the Russian Federation and today it’s QS Ranking is 211 from 220. The University comprises 10 big institutes, more than 50 departments, implementing the training of specialists in a wide range of scientific areas.

There are 40 specialized scientific laboratories; more than 50 innovative structures are making scientific and venture research in the sphere of design and construction of safe and comfortable buildings, structures and complexes, being an innovative pool of new knowledge in civil engineering. There are now more than 18000 students studying at the University.
